9-Channel DSMX
Receiver
SPMAR9010
$169.99
Key Features
Key Features
- 9 channels
- External and internal receiver
- Patented DuaLink technology
- Patent pending ModelMatch
prevents flying a model using the wrong model memory
(feature does not work with module systems)
- ServoSync (feature does not work
with module systems)
- SmartSafe failsafe system
- US patent 7,391,320
|
The AR9010 combines two
internal receivers and one remote receiver for
path diversity and ultimate radio installation
flexibility. The radio system simultaneously transmits
on two frequencies creating dual RF paths. This dual
path redundancy, plus the fact the remote receiver(s) is
located in a different location, exposes each receiver
to a different view of the RF environment providing
unmatched path diversity. A
second remote receiver (SPM9645) can be added to the
system to increase the receiver’s view of the RF link.
This option might work well in giant-scale aerobatic
planes or jets where installations become challenging.
Remote receiver extensions are available in 6”, 9”, 12”,
24” and 36” lengths to provide a variety of installation
options. Overview
Spektrum’s optional Flight Log
(SPM9540) is compatible with the AR9010. The Flight Log
displays the receiver’s real-time voltage. It also shows
individual internal and remote receivers' RF link data
and overall system RF link performance.
While the optional remote receiver and
Flight Log are not necessary to operate the AR9010, some
large or complex models may benefit from having these
items included in the setup. Every model is unique, and
Spektrum’s receiver solutions allow you to customize the
radio installation to match the unique demands of all
your radio system installation needs.

Real-time voltage digital display
Records individual antenna fades
Records frame losses
Records failsafes (holds)
Overview
Spektrum’s optional Flight Log is a unique tool that
allows you to view the performance of your radio system
like never before. With the
revolutionary Flight Log, you can now quickly and easily
view the real-time voltage supplied to your receiver,
how many fades each internal receiver and remote
receiver gets each flight, and if the system received
any frame losses or failsafes (holds).
The Flight Log is an optional component
that was originally designed for testing, but now it is
offered as a handy device that gives you a clear digital
readout of your radio performance. The Flight Log is not
required, but for complex aircraft, it provides an
intuitive analysis of the overall performance of the
radio installation. Some of today’s models can be very
demanding. The Flight Log ensures confidence that your
system is working properly and you have optimized the
radio installation.
The Flight Log provides the following information:
System voltage - receiver pack voltage
Antenna fades – represent the loss of a bit of
information on that specific antenna. Typically it’s
normal to have as many as 50 – 100 antenna fades on any
one of the antennas during a flight. If any single
antenna experiences over 500 fades in a single flight,
the antenna should be repositioned in the aircraft to
optimize the RF link.
Frame Loss – represents simultaneous antenna fades on
all attached receivers. If the RF link is performing
optimally, frame losses per flight should be less than
20.
Hold – a hold occurs when 45 contiguous (one right after
the other) frame losses occur. This takes about one
second. If a hold occurs during flight, it’s important
to re-evaluate the system, moving the antennas to
different locations and/or checking to be sure the
transmitter and receivers are working correctly.

DSM2 9-Channel
PowerSafe Receiver
SPMAR9100
$219.99
|
Key Features
- Robust power bus designed to
manage high-current loads
- Dual 16AWG battery input leads
with EC3 connectors for use with larger battery
packs
- Includes a soft switch that fails
"on"
- Includes three remote receivers
- Features SmartSafe technology
plus preset failsafe
- Compatible with all Spektrum and
JR full range radio systems
- Can add an optional fourth remote
receiver (sold separately)
- Flight Log compatible
- US patent 7,391,320
Overview
The AR9100 PowerSafe™ receiver is
designed for models using multiple servos that draw
excess current or multiple high-torque servos, such as
giant-scale airplanes and jet models. It features a
robust power bus designed to manage high-current loads,
as well as dual 16AWG battery input leads with EC3
connectors for use with larger battery packs.
This makes it possible to support high-current systems
straight through the AR9100 without the need for a
separate power system. As an added measure of safety,
Spektrum designed the AR9100 with a soft switch. Servo
current is routed around the switch so, should it fail
for any reason, power to the system will not be
interrupted. This receiver has a unique aileron
configuration which has an additional aileron port. This
allows you to plug in a left and a right aileron servo
into the receiver independently without using a
Y-harness.
