Carbon Fiber Push Rods Beat Fiber Glass, Steel, Wood, & All
Imitations!
There's no better pushrod offered by
anyone for your radio-controlled plane. If you fly
Pattern, 3D or any other aerobatic style that puts your plane
through the paces, you need the rigid strength of CF push rods
and the reliability of titanium fittings.
Our Carbon fiber rods are also available in .210" outside
diameter (just under 1/4"), and 38" long with 4-40 and 6-32 fittings for the
largest aircraft. Call us to order!
Compare the weight:
A 12 inch section of the 5/32" CH Carbon pushrod stock weighs THREE GRAMS.
Add the pair of Titanium fittings and total weight is only 4.5 grams plus a
small amount of adhesive*.
Compare this to the typical "standard" 12 inch
threaded 4-40 rod at TEN GRAMS without any clevis or pushrod fitting! Add
one solder-on threaded end (do you like to solder?) and it's over 13 grams
without a clevis.
The carbon fiber 1/8"rods come in 35" lengths, and the
5/32" rods are provided in 24" lengths. At full length on the 1/8" rods, you'll
want to run a bushing to support the rod in the center. At lengths under 16
inches no support is needed to have rigidity superior to 4-40 rods.
The 3/16" diameter rods which are 3 feet long, solve
the problem of the "longer runs" found in setting up the Dual Elevator Bell
Cranks. Thread sizes available for the 3/16" rods are 4-40 and 6-32.
