pleased to announce the new NMP Exhaust Stacks and Adapters for YS
engines from Northern Model Products. Stacks are available in 3 styles:
the Straight Stack, the 90° Stack, and the 75° Stack. All are made of
Stainless Steel for strength and durability. All are precision made for
consistency of quality in the field. These stacks are designed to fit
YS engines from the YS 91 through the YS 170-DZ.

New Exhaust Port Adapter for YS
53 & 63 Engines
A
new exhaust port adapter is also now available from NMP
for YS 53 & 63 engines, matching up the smaller port on
those engines to stacks and headers designed for the
larger engines. This Stainless Steel adapter makes it
possible to install the new NMP Stacks on YS 53 and 63
series engines, as well as other exhaust line products
commonly used on .91 through 1.70 sized YS engines.

Central Hobbies Mini Carbon Fiber
Pushrod
A new Carbon fiber "Mini"
Pushrod is now available for smaller radio-controlled
planes. Central Hobbies combines its famous carbon fiber
pushrod technology with brass rod ends to create the
very best pushrod for smaller aerobatic aircraft and for
throttle control of 3-D and FAI-F3A Pattern planes.

For years, Central Hobbies' fiberglass pushrods with
titanium steel ends have been saving crucial weight in
FAI-F3A Pattern (and 3D) planes while improving control
of the flight. This is because carbon fiber has proven
itself world-wide as a stronger, stiffer and lighter
alternative to steel rods. It's also stronger and
lighter than fiberglass and wood.
For example, a 12 inch section of the 5/32" Central
Hobbies carbon fiber pushrod stock weighs 3 grams. Add a
pair of titanium fittings and total weight is only 4.5
grams plus a small amount of adhesive. The typical
"standard" 12 inch threaded 4-40 rod, however, weighs in
at 10 grams, and that's without a clevis or pushrod
fitting. If you add a solder-on threaded end (do you
like to solder?) it jumps to 13+ grams - still without a
clevis.
The same lightweight-yet-stronger technology is now
offered in the Central Hobbies Mini Pushrod. With
threaded brass fittings and a solid carbon fiber rod,
the Mini Pushrod improves flight control (reducing
wobble and flex) while also reducing weight.
The Mini Pushrod is offered as a complete set (pair of
12" x .02 rods with 4 threaded 0-80 fittings), as rods
only (packs of 2) and as fittings only (4-pack). The
ends 7 threading are designed to fit the Dubro Micro
Clevis ends (Dubro #921, and #917).
